Welcome to the Flint Hills. We are experiencing beautiful spring weather and it is certainly appreciated after the bitter cold winter.

Unlike the East Coast and West Coast housing markets, our prices have not dropped significantly. Some seller's are willing to take offers and others are not depending on their individual circumstances. There is stiff competition between pre-existing homes and new construction for the buyers out shopping for houses, and we are in the "March Madness Syndrone".

The weather and school soon to be out for the summer has brought out all the spring buyers. Interest rates are also down from earlier this year. The biggest change in our market has been the lenght of time to sell a house. That has gone from being on the market a few days to a month with multiple offers to taking between 3 to 6 month to close.
